  Correctional Facilities Committee
Committee Chairperson: Jenna
The purpose of a correctional facilities committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics behind the walls, and to set up means of smoothing the way from the facility to the larger A.A. community through prerelease contacts.

Treatment facilities committees coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment facilities. Click here for a list of facilities the groups in District 6 are taking meetings into.


Bridge the Gap Committee
Committee Chairperson: Jenna W.
Part of Bridging the Gap between a treatment program or a correctional facility and A.A. is the Temporary Contact Program, which is designed to help the alcoholic in an alcoholism treatment program make that transition.

CPC (Cooperation with the Professional Community)
Committee Chairperson: Position not filled .
CPC provides information about AA to those who have contact with alcoholics through their profession. Examples are physicians, nurses, lawyers, judges, social workers, union leaders and industrial managers as well as those working in the field of alcoholism.

PI (Public Information)
Committee Chairperson: Position Not Filled .
PI carries the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to schools, colleges and various public agencies and other interested organizations utilizing all the available media in accordance with The Twelve Traditions and guidelines of WAMO.

Grapevine Committee
Committee Chairperson: Position Not Filled .
This committee acquaints members with the publication The Grapevine, and presents it as a tool in maintaining individual and group sobriety through its many attractions.

Literature Committee
Committee Chairperson: Position Not Filled .
Since the publication of the first edition of the Big Book in 1939, literature has played an important role in spreading the A.A. message and imparting information about the A.A. Twelve Step program of recovery.

Committee Chairperson: .
This Committee addresses the needs of those people who have difficulties participating in Alcoholics Anonymous, whether those difficulties are mental, physical, geographic, cultural, ethnic, spiritual, or emotional. While there are no special alcoholics, there are alcoholics need assistance to overcome additional personal barriers to accessing A.A.
