Groups throughout District 6 carry the AA message to suffering alcoholics in treatment settings. This is a list of the facilities that we currently take meetings to. Advent Health Detox

This is a medical detox. Patients are here for short stays and the AA meetings are voluntary, so patients may or may not attend. As a visitor, you are required to leave your cell phone, wallet, keys, etc in a lockbox before the meeting.

Benilde Hall
3220 E 23rd St, Kansas City, MO 64127
Benilde Hall is an in-patient treatment center for men. The AA meeting is voluntary, so clients may or may not attend.

Heartland Center for Behavioral Change (Detox)
1514 Campbell St, Kansas City, MO 64108
Heartland Center for Behavioral Change has a detox that we bring AA meetings to. Patients are here for short stays.

Heartland Center for Behavioral Change (Residential Treatment)

Heartland has a residential treatment program for men and women. The AA meetings that we bring are voluntary, so clients may or may not attend.

KU Strawberry Hill
901 N 5th St, Kansas City, KS 66101
This is a psychiatric hospital. Patients are here for short stays after experiencing psychiatric emergencies, sometimes involving alcohol. The AA meetings are voluntary, so patients may or may not attend. As a visitor, you are required to leave your wallet, keys, cell phone, etc in a lockbox before the meeting. Only 2 visitors are allowed per meeting (hospital rules).

ReDiscover Friendship House is a residential treatment program for women.

ReStart provides wrap-around services to people experiencing homelessness. Meetings are voluntary, so residents may or may not attend.
